Robert Andrew Taylor Malone, 20, a resident of Charleston, passed away July 30, 2011 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a member of Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy. He served briefly in the U.S. Navy and at the time of his death was a student at Lee University majoring in history. He was an assistant manager of Zaxby’s Restaurant on Treasury Drive. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Malone; and his great grandparents, Willard and Margaretta Calfee. He is survived by his parents, Melissa Lane and husband, Scott of Charleston; Lynn Malone and wife, Lindsey of Cleveland; four brothers: Patrick Brown, Ethan Lane, David Malone and Thomas Malone all of Cleveland; grandparents, Willardean Malone, Lynda Denham and Terry Thompson all of Cleveland; great grandmother, Della Henderson of Cleveland; aunts: Marian Malone and Rosie Shope; uncles: Steven Malone, Jim Giles, Brian Thompson all of Cleveland. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Peerless Church of God of Prophecy. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
