Flossie Marie Thomas, 66, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at her residence. She was of the Christian faith. She was actively involved in the activities at the Cleveland Housing Authority. She enjoyed her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady Johnson and Nellie Holcomb Johnson. Survivors include her four children: Janet Adams and husband, Ricky of Cleveland, Angie McKinney and her fiancee James Green of Benton, Rosemary Kile and husband David and Joey Thomas all of Cleveland; six grandchildren: Brian Goodner and wife Fallon, Dakota Hancock, Paige Adams, Kristy Lord and husband, Rick, Courtney Kile and Austin Kile; five great-grandchildren, Trenton Goodner, Kaitlyn Danson, Trinity Goodner, Summer Lord and Ryan Lord; one sister, Kathaleen Officer; one brother, Roy Johnson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
