Vicki Jo Mead

Vicki Jo Knapik Mead, 49, a resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away suddenly at her residence on Saturday, February 12, 2011. She was born in Elmira, New York on July 18, 1961. Vicki owned and operated an adorable pet grooming business and also worked for Keith Street Animal Clinic for the past 28 years. She was an avid animal lover. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Thornton and grandson Hunter Roberts. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Roberts of Cleveland; grandson, Mason Roberts of Cleveland; mother, Joyce Thornton of Tennessee; brothers, Robert Knapik of San Diego, CA, Dana Thornton of Etowah and Billy Thornton of Clearwater, Florida; best friend and sisters in life, Mary Gates. A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Saturday, February 19, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Patrick Wooden officiating.
