Bobbie Samuel McCracken, 67, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was retired from ICI Americas as a water treatment specialist. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veteran of Foreign Wars. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Arthur and Nellie Edith Kimsey McCracken and brothers, Paul McCracken, Russell McCracken and Ray McCracken. He is survived by his children, Tommy Lynn Cate and wife, Angela of Knoxville, Patrick A. McCracken and wife, Ladena of Rockledge, FL and Jeanne Rae Franklin and husband, Scott of Cleveland; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Amy Lou Coker and husband, Bill of Cohutta, GA, Bonnie Mart and husband, Ken of Piscataway, NJ, Faye Wagner of Akron, OH and Ruth Thompson of Cleveland; three brothers, Jake McCracken of Arab, AL, Doyle McCracken and wife, Billie of Cleveland and James McCracken and wife, JoAnn of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Doyle McCracken and the Reverend Ken Mart officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery with military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
