Howard Victor Dalton

Howard Victor Dalton, age 74, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011 in Marion, Indiana, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He attended St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church. He was an independent truck driver. He was a life time member of the American Legion Post 81 and also a member of the VFW. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Dalton was the son of the late Frederick and Gertrude Dalton and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Julie Dalton and Patricia Donner and one great-grandson. He is survived by his wife Jessie Idella Dalton of Cleveland; four children and spouses: Dr. Ronda Dalton of Rochester Hills, MI, Kevin and Cindy Dalton of Waterford, MI, Mark and Esther Dalton of Burton, MI and Darren Dalton of Waterford, MI; children by choice, Larry Young of Cleveland, Ricky and Patti Young of Benton and Marla and Larry Higdon of Cleveland; grandchildren: Jordan Dalton, Kyle Dalton, Kasey Dalton, Alannah Dalton all of Michigan, Candice Holcomb, Brad Holcomb of North Carolina, Angie and Steven Epperson and Tanda Higdon of Cleveland; special great-grandchild and friend, Cody Epperson; one sister and spouse: Carol and Horste Britche of Houston, TX; three brothers and spouses: Fred and Zella Dalton of Ft. Mills, S.C., Tim and Nancy Dalton of Waterford, MI and Jay Dalton of Waterford, MI; two companions, Princess EE and Pee Wee and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor John Bivens officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
