Bobbie A Adkerson

Bobbie A. Adkerson, 81, a resident of Cleveland, passed away January 15, 2011 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member and former pianist of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Bradley Central High, class of 1945. She worked as a secretary in the ICU at Bradley Memorial Hospital for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Miller; sister, Jessie Nicole and brother, William B. Thompson. She is survived by her son, Rodney Miller and wife, Diane of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; 2 grandchildren: Rodney Christopher Miller of Mobile, AL and Raymond Todd Miller of Dimmitt, TX; twin great grandchildren: Payton Lane Miller and Haydon Gage Miller; 2 brothers, Eugene Thompson of Cleveland and Warren C. Thompson of Austin, TX; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2011 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Pastor Steven Huff officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
