John W Calfee

John W. (Wes) Calfee, 57, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 in a Memphis hospital. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He loved sports, playing darts and going camping at his lot in the mountains. He was a veteran who served a tour of duty in Thailand during the Vietnam War. The Army Brat who became an Air Force Sgt went home. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy G. Calfee; his paternal grandparents, Wesley H. and Pansy M. Calfee; his maternal grandparents, John and Maude E. Peterson; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his daughter Kemberly M. Richardson and her husband Dallas; his grandchildren, Austin H. Bowton and Ahnna M. Richardson all of Lewiston, Illinois; his loving mother, Julia E. Calfee of Cleveland; his brothers, Billy G. Calfee, Jr. of Cleveland, Richard D. Calfee of Pikeville and Javako Eric Calfee of Cleveland; his sisters, Jeanette Hayes and her husband Michael of Cleveland, Cynthia Lowery and her husband Dennis of Crockett, Texas, Julia Lynn Cross and her husband Lonnie of Cleveland; his many nieces and nephews, cousins, uncles and his many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with military honors. His family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the funeral home.
