Mary Ann Nation

Mary Ann Nation, 90, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011in an Athens hospital. She was a member of the Waterville Baptist Church and served 25 years as breakfast cook and at Copes Cafeteria in Cleveland. Mrs. Nation was the daughter of the late Thomas Dewey Johnson and Bessie Johnson and was also preceded in death by her son, Gerald Holloway. She is survived by her children and spouses: Alton and Leata Nation, Donna and Allen Lord, Rita Nation and James Arnold, Mary Brown, Dennis and Gwen Holloway, Alvin and Shirley Holloway, Yvonne Pope and Sue Ann Holloway; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters: Vera Ash, Susie Taylor and Helen Shaffer; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Brooks of Waterville Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the Boardtown Church of Christ in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 at the funeral home prior to the service.
