Winfred A. Key, 83, a resident of Charleston, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010, at his home. He was of the Baptist faith and was a self-employed carpenter before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Laura Shelton Key, as well as the mother of his children, Havel Ceatta Franks Key, two sons, Charles Alvin Key and Timothy Marvin Key, one daughter, Lisa Ruth Bullington, and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Angie I. Key of Charleston; four children: Lavenda Sue Bandy of Cleveland, Marian Lea Gamble and husband Larry of Cleveland, Owen "Huleo" Key and wife Mable of Charleston, and Dennis Key and wife Penny of Cleveland; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; one brother, Melvin Key of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Sam Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Reliance concluding with a white dove release ceremony. J.M. Brown, Jeremy Brown, David Paul Lawson, Michael Harvey, Marcus Cochran and Dennis "D.J." Key, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
