Margaret Cody

Margaret Ruth Cody, 85, a long time resident of Bradley County, passed from this world to the next to be with the Lord and those who went before her on the morning of December 27, 2010. She was born to Bell and John Rominger on March 31, 1925. She attended Charleston High School and graduated at the age of 16. On January 24, 1942 she was united in the Holy Bonds of Matrimony with William Fletcher Cody. Together for over sixty years, she enjoyed being a part of a much larger family of siblings, in-laws, cousins and friends. This writer is still amazed by those who knew and remember both her and Fletcher. Margaret and Fletcher raised 2 children, helped to raise 6 grandchildren, and were pleased to provide help with their first great-granddaughter, Nicole. Margaret and Fletcher are survived by their children, Willene and Wayne, their grandchildren, Steven, Mark, Lisa, Christopher, Ryanne and Ashley, and their great-grandchildren Nicole, Allison, Alliyah, Jacob, Kylar and Chancy. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 9-11 on Thursday prior to the service.
