Alice M Ledford

Alice M. Ledford, 73, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in a Decatur healthcare facility. She was a member of Mountain View Church of God. She was a volunteer of “Contact” for several years. She was formerly employed with Cornutt and McIntire Insurance. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emra Clarence and Lillie Goins Rogers. She is survived by her son, Darin Ledford of Murfreesboro, TN; special friend, Gwen Goins of Cleveland; several cousins also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Mercer officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Kevin Torbett, David Hicks, Joey Campbell, Shane Ball, Rodney Sullivan and Shawn Moorefield will serve as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the funeral home prior to the service.
