E. R. "Ron" Frazier, 77, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013, at his residence. He served as the Cleveland Police Chief from 1966-1968. He attended Washington Avenue Baptist Church. He was retired from the Insurance Claims business. Mr. Frazier was an avid writer/blogger of faith-based inspirational literature. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Dewey Frazier and Ollie Alberta Sawyer Frazier; his first wife, Cissy Frazier; second wife, Ruby Collins Frazier; son-in-law, Greg Orr; and three sisters. Survivors include three children, daughters, Ms. Terri Orr, and Mickie Gravitt, of Dalton, GA, and son Jeff Frazier and his wife Donna of Cleveland, TN; four grandchildren, Kristen Sanson, Andrea Ownbey, Stephanie Gravitt, and Chandler Frazier; two great-grandchildren, Kylee Raper and Landon Ownbey; three brothers, George, Melvin, and James Frazier, all of Cleveland; dear family friend, Lois Wyatt; and also several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Washington Avenue Baptist Church on February 2, 2013, officiated by Rev. Beecher White.
