Harold C Williams

Harold "Willie" C. Williams, Jr., 74, a resident of Charleston, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 with his daughters by his side at a healthcare facility in Chattanooga. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Bowater after 45 years of service. He enjoyed spending time in his woodworking shop and working in his vegetable garden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Williams, Sr., and Elizabeth Taylor Williams; and loving wife of 42 years, Patricia Ann Williams. He is survived by two children, Rachel White and husband Tracy of Cleveland, and Marcie Wells and husband Matthew of Ringgold, GA; one grandchild, Madeleine Ann Wells of Ringgold, GA; four sisters, June Wash and husband Jim of Lexington, KY, Freddie Anne Bettis of Cleveland, Rita Lonas and husband Randy of Cleveland, and Nita Wilson and husband Dan of Tennessee; mother-in-law and friend, Lena Womack of Charleston; several nieces and nephews; and longtime friend J.W. Lee. The family will hold a private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Chattanooga Foundation, P.O.
