Mary Elizabeth Sims

MARY ELIZABETH SIMS, 76, went home to be with the Lord Friday, November 19, 2010. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Rosa Lee Melton; one sister, Alva Lee Chase and one brother, R. T. Melton. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Roy Sims of Charleston; daughters, Savana and husband Keith Pirkle and Linda and husband Ray Goble all of Cleveland; one sister, Sherlene and husband Robert Escobar of Deer Run, NC; grandchildren, Amy and husband Derek Blackwood, Clint Pirkle and wife Brandi all of Cleveland, and Kacey Pirkle Schock and husband Michael Schock of North Miami, FL; and great-grandchildren, Zachary and Brandon Schock and Addison Pirkle. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Langford officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery located in Charleston, TN. Michael Schock, Ray Goble, Derek Blackwood, Keith Pirkle, Clint Pirkle and Robert Escobar will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 22, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 P.M.
