Burdetta Davis

V. Burdetta Davis, 75, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010, at her home. She was a member of Union Grove Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillie Allen Watkins, daughter, Wanda Davis, one brother and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Cecil Davis of Cleveland; two daughters: Pat Davis of North Miami, FL, and Amy Davis of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews and one special nephew, David Wilson of Locust Grove, GA. Graveside services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010, in the Union Grove Church of Christ Cemetery with Minister Steve Hall officiating. David Wilson, Tex Webb, James Leaman, Charles Cartwright, Clyde Brewer, Jr., and Johnny Corbin will serve as pallbearers with Alvin Lee Foster serving honorary pallbearer. Her family will receive friends from 3 – 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home prior to the service.
