Minnie Boyer

Minnie A. Lawrence Pohlner Boyer, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 8, 2010. Her family rejoices in the fact she is now finally home and no longer suffering. She was a member of Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy. She was a life long volunteer of the American Red Cross and a beautician and child care provider for over 100 children. Mrs. Boyer was the daughter of the late O.N. and Anna Audrich Lawrence and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Pohlner and her second husband, Jesse Boyer; two brothers, Herman Lawrence and David Lawrence. She is survived by her two children and their spouses: Wayne and Melva Pohlner and Linda and Jimmy Hughes all of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Frank Pohlner, Jr., Carla and husband Tony Watson and Jonathan Pohlner all of Cleveland; great-grandchildren: Jessica Pohlner of Chattanooga, Kirstein Pohlner, Nathan Nix and Brad Nix all of Cleveland; two great-great-grandchildren: Kensley and Kayden Ghorley both of Cleveland; one sister, Rachel and husband Herbert Cypret of Maryland Heights, MO; two brothers: Paul and wife Clara Lawrence of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Dwight Lawrence of Beverly Hills, CA; sisters-in-law, Deloris Lawrence of Hardy, Arkansas, Linda Lawrence of Fisher, Arkansas and Dorothy Pohlner of Jonesboro, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews also survive. A celebration of her life service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy with Reverend Jack Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Pallbearers will be Frank Pohlner, Jr., Brad Nix, Louis Villanueva, Jonathan Pohlner, Perry Horner, Nathan Nix and Dr. Michael Plumley. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
