Wanda Yates Tate Lewis, 65, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 in a local hospital. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lamar and Wilma Yates and husbands, Roy Phelps and Gene Tate. She is survived by her husband, Daniel D. Lewis of Cleveland; step children, Tina Buddi and Rose Ogden, both of Panama City, FL, Barbara Lewis of Bettendorf, Iowa and James Tate and Michael Tate of Georgia; brothers, Donnie Yates and wife, Paula of Ringgold. GA and Randy Yates and wife Annette of Rossville, GA; sisters, Dianna Sharpe of Chattanooga and Pam Gentry and husband, Bruce of Cleveland; four nephews, Don Yates, Chris Yates, Robbie Ball, and Bryan Sharpe; and four nieces, Jennifer Yates, Ranee’ Hill, Jessica Goodwin, and Hailey Gentry. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. EDT in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Gibson officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m. CDT in Head Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Valley Head, AL with Jay Buddi, Chris Yates, Bruce Gentry, Brandon Pates, Cody Ogden, and LeBron Yates serving as pallbearers.
