James Olen McSpadden, 87, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 in a local hospital. He served in the United States Army in World War II with the 10th Mountain Division in Italy. He worked for Reynolds Aluminum Company for 29 years in Illinois. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie McSpadden; father, James Robert McSpadden; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Anna Mae McSpadden of Cleveland; daughter, Angeleeta Voyta and husband, George of Cleveland; sons, James R. McSpadden and wife, Jimmie of Cleveland and Larry T. McSpadden and wife, Cathy of Santee, CA; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sister, Jessica Elliott of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Nick McSpadden officiating. Interment will follow in Red Hill Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
