Samantha Jane Collins

Samantha Jane Johnson Collins, 67, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 in a local hospital. She was born on November 20, 1942 in Chapmanville, WV. She attended Breckenridge School in Morehead, KY and was employed by American Uniform, Holiday Inn and Shoney’s. She was a member of Bellefounte Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, James Thomas Johnson; mother, Samantha Jane Johnson; sisters, Hildred Nootsie Johnson, Lois Mae Watson and Treda Ann Day; and brothers, Junior Johnson and Bernard Bruce Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Tommy Edward Collins, Sr.; son, Tommy Edward Collins, Jr. and wife, Kim and their children, Ward and Emily; daughter, Deanna Nunnelly and husband, Jeff and their children, Drew, Trent and Bryce; sisters, Betty Wages and Patty Cox; and brother, Johnny Johnson and wife, Vivian. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at Bellefounte Baptist Church with the Reverend Lake Walker officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 at the church prior to the service.
