Freda Fay Murphy

Freda Fay Murphy, 72, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at her home after a courageous battle with ALS. She moved to Cleveland in 1992 from Trenton, MI. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crafts and cooking. She was a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church where she was actively involved. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Ruby Marcum Seal; daughter, Brenda Joy Murphy; and sisters, Inez Jordan, Mae Demaray and Vola Lankford. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Pat Murphy of Cleveland; children, Pam Bibee and husband, Harold of Cleveland, Becky Brinkley and husband, Kurt of Cleveland and Patrick Steven Murphy of Inkster, MI; grandchildren, Ryan Bibee, Jeremy Bibee and wife, Christy, Harold Bibee, Jr. and Kurt Brinkley II, all of Cleveland; brothers, Robert Seal and wife, Irma, John Seal and wife, Helen, Walter Seal and wife, Refina and Clark Seal and wife, Donna, all of MI; sisters, Hannah Inman and husband, Ted of Peoria, IL, Carol Dudinetz and husband, John of Murfreesboro, Peggy Carter and husband, Carl of Alpharetta, GA and Mary Ferguson and husband, Mac of Alhambra, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Candies Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Jamie Work officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Ryan Bibee, Jeremy Bibee, Harold Bibee, Jr., Kurt Brinkley II, Milton Hooper and Bill Chastain serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
