Marjorie J Bishop

Marjorie J. Bishop, 97, a resident of Cleveland since 1940, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 in a local hospital. She was the oldest member of Waterville Baptist Church. She was well known as a prayer warrior for many years.
Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Bishop, Sr.; son, Wilbur “Junior” Bishop; parents, J.M. Moore and Edna Moore; grandchild, Bryan Lee Green; brother, Bill Moore and sister, Katie Shelton.
Survivors include her three children: Wayne F. Bishop and wife, Ann; Joyce N. Green and husband, Sonny; and Kathy J. Ballard and husband, Snooks all of Cleveland; daughter-in-law, Barbara Bishop of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren: Cindy Goodman, Kelley Morgan, Robin Dixon, Pamela Bishop, Brian Bishop, Chris Harris, Michael Green, Gregory Green, Jan Rickman, Chris Ballard, and Candi Martin; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, William Bishop and Charlie Bishop both of Dayton; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Waterville Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Tim Ownby, Ron Chastain, Roger Wright, John Pigg, Dave Hall and Don Inscore serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
The family will receive friends from 4;00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Waterville Baptist Church Building Fund, 3722 Dalton Pike, SE, Cleveland, TN 37323.
