Donald “Don” Raymond Davis, 64, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at his residence. He was a member of Bowman Hills Seven-day Adventist Church. He was the former owner of Summit Restaurant and was a licensed electrician. He loved fishing, camping, traveling and his dogs.
Mr. Davis was the son of the late Silas Davis and Margie Butler Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Burchfield Davis of Cleveland; five children: Connie S. Brady of Cleveland, Donna L. Queen and husband, Luther of Ringgold, GA, Donald R. Davis, Jr. and wife, Sherry of Athens, TN, Melissa L. Reeder and husband, Marcus of Old Fort, TN and Ronald “Ronnie” Davis and wife, Nanette of Greenville, SC; 13 grandchildren: Amanda Nicole Brady of Atlanta, GA, Amberlee Rose Brady of Cleveland, Michael Dakota Brady of Dalton, GA, Amy Lynn Queen of Ringgold, GA, Ronnie William Crawford of Ringgold, GA, Christopher and Skylar Ratledge of Athens, TN, Tyler Pierce of Old Fort, TN, Kaitlin Burnett and husband, Hunter of Cleveland, Jeremiah Reeder of Old Fort, Marcus Reeder, II of Old Fort, Hannah Holder of Maryville and Sophie Davis of Greenville, SC; 3 great-grandchildren: Marcus Reeder, III, Eli Burnett and Amiracle Reeder; one sister, Carolyn Thomas and husband, Alfred of Crawford, GA; one brother, Robert Strand Davis of Kentucky; special friends, Lume Cody and Mary Sanders of Marble, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Reverend Delmer Queen officiating. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
