Nellie Ruth Williams Novak
November 24, 1925 — September 22, 2014
Nellie Ruth Williams Novak, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a loyal member for many years. She was LPN for many years for Dr. William Garrot and Dr. Bill Arnold.
Mrs. Novak was preceded in death by her husband, George Lewis Novak; her parents, William H. Williams and Agnes Hayes Williams; three brothers: Tom, George and Buster Williams; two sisters, Anna Grace Shell and Ruby Holcomb.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Hal and Diane Novak of Woodlands, TX; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Larry Rose of Charleston, TN and Marilyn and Gary Gann of Cleveland, TN; nine grandchildren: Shannon Swafford, Holly York and husband, Rick, Amy Parris, Alicia Eshenbrenner and husband, Wes, Jesse Gann and Annie Gann all of Cleveland, Scott Rose of Charleston, Andrew Novak of Woodlands, TX, and Jill Naporkowski and husband, Matt of Houston, TX; one sister, Bunny Clark and husband, Jim of Ringgold, GA; one brother, Paul H. Williams and wife, Wanda of Hixson, TN; two nieces and two nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Elder Joseph Hayes officiating. Caleb Harden, Chase Parris, Jessie Gann and Brandon Maney will serve as pallbearers.
