Dolores Young Lambert, 85, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was an organist and a pianist for many years. She also worked with the Children’s Music Ministry and Drama Ministry at First Baptist. She was a member of the Cleveland Music Club. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, George Lambert, Jr. who passed away on August 24, 2014; her parents, Kirk Young and Nora Chandler Young.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Lambert of Nashville, Steve Lambert and wife, Nancy of Cleveland, Kelly Lambert and wife, Angie of Ooltewah; daughter, Amy Lambert Bailey of Cleveland; grandchildren, Lisa Johnson and husband, Jamie of Nashville, Laura Farmer and husband, Daniel of Nashville, Michael Lambert of Austin, TX, Kirk Lambert and wife, Renee of Cleveland, Adam Lambert and wife, Sarah of Knoxville and Hayden Bailey of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Jax Lambert, Drew Lambert and Claire Lambert all of Cleveland, Kate and Sydney Johnson of Nashville and Ella Marie Lambert of Knoxville; brother, Kenneth Young of Ann Arbor, MI; three nieces, Julie Perkins, Jennifer Young and Rebecca Young all of MI; one great-nephew, Nicholas Perkins; several other special nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the McCammons Ammons Click Funeral in Maryville with Reverend S M Johnson Atchley and Nancy Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in Grand View Cemetery with Kenneth Young, Mike Lambert, Kelly Lambert, Steve Lambert, Kirk Lambert and Adam Lambert serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and they will also receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the McCammons Ammons Click Funeral Home in Maryville prior to the service.
