David Bradley Gilbert, III

David Bradley Gilbert, 58, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in a Nashville hospital.  He was a member of Westmore Church of God and was a devoted Christian.  He was the owner and operator of Roy’s Alternator Shop.  He loved his family and loved to help others before himself. 

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lee Cain Gilbert of Cleveland; parents, David Bradley Gilbert, Jr. and Sharon Talley Gilbert of Cleveland; 3 children, Sarah Evans and (Chris), Nathan Wyatt Ellison and (Bridget), and Shay Burger all of Cleveland; 10 grandchildren, Bentley Ellison, Shelby Ellison, Lexy Langford Gabriel Burger, McKenzie Burger, Kaden Young, Reece Young, Aza Evans, Kylee Evans, Gavin Evans, and 1 great-grandchild, Lian Langford of Cleveland; 2 brothers, Darrell Gilbert and (Susie), and Duane Gilbert and (Amanda) all of Cleveland; nieces and nephews, Laura Harper (Jaime), Grace Gilbert, Alexis Gilbert, and David Jay Gilbert.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Westmore Church of God with Pastor Kelvin Page, Lonnie Setlich, Reverend Steve Gilbert, and Reverend Tony Jenkins officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release concluding the service.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
