Edith Miller

Edith Lorene Miller, 92, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at a Cleveland healthcare facility.  A wife and homemaker, Ms. Miller was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Cleveland where she was active in the Gleaners Sunday School Class and the Church Manna Ministry.  She also served several years as a Hospital Volunteer.  She loved spending time with her family and friends and was happiest when she was doing things for others.

Ms. Miller was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Albert B. Miller Jr.; her parents, Charles Garren and Adelia Garren; brother, Charles Garren; and sister, Dorothy Moyers.

She is survived by her son, Albert Brian Miller of Franklin, TN; sister, Virginia Jo Jones of Knoxville, TN; sister-in-law, Joyce Garren of Ooltewah, TN; nieces, Susan James of Bradenton, FL, Nancy Brooks of Knoxville, TN, Denise Smith of Knoxville, TN, Lynn Carr of Chattanooga, TN, Betsy Vance of Chatsworth, GA; and nephews, Charles Garren of Sevierville, TN; and Michael Fillmer of Andalusia, AL.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Gibson officiating.  Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon on Tuesday prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
