Marjorie Stuart Daasch, 90, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at a Cleveland healthcare facility. Ms. Daasch, who attended Ward-Belmont College in Nashville and the University of Iowa, was a homemaker, wedding planner, and owner of The Bridal Sweet in Newton, IA. A member of P.E.O., Ms. Daasch loved dogs, was a volunteer for the Cleveland Public School System, and was an expert seamstress and painter. Ms. Daasch spent hours upon hours in her sewing room creating beautiful, intricate clothing filled with love for the recipient. It was knowing that she was blessed with this special gift, and her love to serve, that inspired her to teach others, especially kids, to sew. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cleveland.
Ms. Daasch was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edith Stuart; her husband of 55 years, Robert Daasch; brother, Bill Stuart; and son-in-law,Tim Spires.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Spires of Cleveland; son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Carla Daasch of Westchester, OH; grandchildren, Lindsay Spires, Ben Spires, Sarah Daasch, Jamie Daasch, Kyle (Katharine) Daasch, and Allison Daasch.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Morgan officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the service
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pat Summitt Foundation.
