Rev. Robert Eugene Jenkins

Rev. Robert Eugene Jenkins, 72, a resident of Georgetown, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at his residence.  He has lived in the area his entire life and was a minister for over 50 years.  He was a member and minister at Revival Church of God.  He was a loving grandfather who loved his family but loved the Lord most of all.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Davis Jenkins; parents, Frank Jenkins and Margie Harden Jenkins; brothers, Sonny, Charlie, Cecil, Harold, and Kenneth Jenkins; sisters, Diane and Darsand Jenkins. 

He is survived by two children, Florence Marie Bennett and Wallace Jenkins and wife Sharon, all of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Joshua Bennett, Deserae Bennett, Whitney Jenkins, Krysta Davis, and Courteney Davis; one great grandchild, Gatlin Mark Wade Smith; one sister, Martha Lewallen and husband Vonell of Spring City, TN; two brothers, Richard Jenkins and wife Ann, and Ernest Jenkins, all of Athens, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral with Reverend Donald Oliver officiating.  Wallace Jenkins, Paul Bishop, Michael Gregg, Pete Rogers, Stanley Owen, and Duncan Oliver will serve as pallbearers.  Tommy Davis and Joel Bishop will serve as honorary pallbearers.  Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery in Georgetown.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 and from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the funeral home.
