Kolo Lynn Davis

Kolo Lynn Davis, age 74, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at a local healthcare facility.  A life-time resident of East Tennessee, Mr. Davis spent over 40 years working as a real estate broker.  In addition to being a former owner of Cleveland Building Material, Mr. Davis was a well known land and real estate developer who loved serving his community.   He was a past president of the Homebuilders Association, as well as a two-time president of the local Association of Realtors.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Charleston and enjoyed farming and loving his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kolo U. and Eliza Weir Davis.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife Barbara Shamblin Davis of Cleveland; daughter, C. Michelle Davis Rakestraw; son, Kolo Lynn (Chip) Davis II (Schansa); grandchildren, Matthew Wesley Rakestraw, Tait Bennett Rakestraw, Kolo Davis III, Liv Davis and Ava Davis; sisters, Joyce Lyons (Ron) of Athens TN, and Wanda Jackson of Franklin TN.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Isbell officiating.  Interment will be held at Jacksboro Cemetery in Jacksboro TN with Ron Lyons officiating and family members serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the funeral home.
