Phyllis D. Ledford

Phyllis D. Ledford, 80, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, May 01, 2017 in a local healthcare facility.  She was a former resident of Madisonville and had resided in Cleveland for many years.  She was of the Church of God faith.  She loved to travel; go out to eat as well as watch her television shows.  But most of all she adored her family and gospel music but was most known as a prayer warrior.

Mrs. Ledford was preceded in death by her husband, Quinton Leonard Ledford who passed away in 1998; parents, James Henry Miller and Rosa Lee Greene Miller; and also her brother, Bobby Miller.

Survivors include her two sons:  James Leonard Ledford and wife, Brenda of McDonald and Tommy Douglas Ledford and wife, Darlene of Cleveland; six grandchildren:  Kristy Porter and husband, Bobby, Keith Ledford and fiancée, Michelle, Thomas Andrew Ledford, Quinton “Pooh” Earwood and wife, Kandy, Brandy Daniel, and Eddie Cheek; 7 great-grandchildren:  Victor and Nikola Porter, Zack and Abby Ledford, Tyson Ledford, Nevaeh Earwood, and Amarra Trentham; one brother, Bill Miller; special friends and caregivers:  Carmen Falke, Stacey Dixon, Donna Guillory, Beulah Weaver, and Billy, Luke and Sam Powers.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the South View Baptist Church with Reverend Rob Works and Reverend Ronnie Ledford officiating.  Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  The family will also receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the church on Thursday prior to the service.
