Mamie Wilson Beasley Bacon

Mamie Wilson Beasley Bacon, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at her home.  Mrs. Bacon was an active member of Broad Street United Methodist Church where she served on numerous committees.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and special friends. 

Mamie Wilson Beasley Bacon was born September 3, 1923 in Elkton, Tennessee to Oscar Noel and Mamie Young Beasley. Mrs. Bacon was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Paul H. Bacon Sr.; brother, John Beasley; and sister, Katie Smartt. 

She is survived by her son, Dr. Paul Bacon, Jr. (Sheryl) of Cleveland; daughter, Chita Beasley Johnson (Paul) of Alta Loma, CA; grandchildren, Adam Paul Johnson of Upland, CA, Chita Katherine Craft (Lane) of Houston, TX, Morgan Cheek (Hugh) of Birmingham, AL, and Lauren Tuck (Chad) of Nashville, TN; great grandchildren, Les William Craft of Houston, TX, John Paul Tuck of Nashville, TN, Challoner Tuck of Nashville, TN, Ally Cheek of Birmingham, AL, and Bailey Grace Cheek of Birmingham, AL;  and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Broad Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.  Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Scott Taylor, Lamar McKenzie, Allan Jones, Richard Banks, Bozo Queener, and Jim Park serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday at Broad Street United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Rodgers Benevolent Fund or the Congregational Care Fund of Broad Street United Methodist Church, 155 Central Ave NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
