Mary Francis McCall, age 80, a lifetime resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at her home. Mrs. McCall, a retired packer with Dana Corporation, was a former member of the Gateway Quartet, who she sang with for many years. She was of the Pentcostal Faith and was a member of Walker Valley Community Church. She loved her church and her family, and enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
Mrs. McCall was preceded in death by her parents, John Francis and Louella Parris Howard Cross; son, Donnie McCall; brothers, Big John Cross and Terry Cross; and sister, Ruby Pendley.
She is survived by sons, Ronnie McCall of Chattanooga, and Tony McCall (Annette) of Cleveland; grandchildren, Tiffany Honaker (Aaron) of Cleveland, Jennifer McCall of Cleveland, Dustin McCall (Whitney) of Cleveland, Josh McCall of Cleveland and Eric Crisp of Cleveland; great grandchildren, Jordan White, Eddy McCall, Lily Honaker, Chloe McCall, and Brantley McCall; brothers, Jerry Cross (Mary Jane) of Cleveland, and Lonnie Cross of Cleveland; sister, Phyllis Black of Cleveland; and long time friend and caregiver, Rita Ingram; two loving fur-babies, Phoebe and Tryfus; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Walker Valley Community Church with Rev. Larry Hamilton and Pastor Kenneth Rodriguez officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
