James Lee Davenport, age 3, went to his Heavenly Home on July 26, 2017. He was born on September 30, 2013 in Cleveland, Tennessee. James loved Thomas the Train and ran his battery operated train so often that he would run out of batteries and was constantly asking for more. He loved to dance and laugh, and loved to eat. He was a blessing to all who knew him.
James is survived by his parents, McKala Dawn Sedneck and Sean Angelo Davenport; and grandmother, Jennifer Helton. He is also survived by his loving and caring foster parents, Christopher and Jodi Rouse; and foster siblings, Nathan and Chloe. Christopher and Jodi helped James with his developmental milestones. He was a happy and loved little boy who loved his family.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, where the church staff and church family knew and loved him. The service will immediately follow with Reverend Ramon Torres officiating. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements in Cleveland, TN. The burial will take place in Sulpher, Indiana with O’Bloom Funeral Home caring for arrangements there.
Pallbearers will be Jake Derrick, Josh Derrick, Jody Derrick, and Joe Langstaff. Honorary Pallbearers will be Phillip Rouse, Jeff Wolf, and Seth Wolf.
The family requests that no flowers be sent. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bradley County Foster Care Association or Wesley Memorial UMC snack pack program.
