B.H. (Bobby) Williams

December 9, 1925 — August 6, 2017

Bobby (B. H.) Williams, 91, of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord in a local healthcare facility on August 6, 2017.  He was born December 9, 1925 in East Bernstadt, Kentucky. 

B.H. was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Cleo Gabbard Williams, parents Bob and Dorothy Williams, grandsons Aaron Williams and Brett Williams; brother, Douglas Williams and sister Barbara Hundley.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Annie Mitchell Williams.  His children: Kenneth (Shirley) Williams of Cleveland, Tennessee; Geraldine (Jerry) Ballard of Seymour, Indiana; Boyd (Carolyn) Williams of Cleveland and Billy (Vickie) Williams of Chattanooga. Grandchildren, Tonya Ballard, Tony (Lanee) Ballard of Indianapolis, Indiana; Michelle (Nathan) Zimmerman of Jasonville, Indiana; Kimberly (Kevin) Snapp of Sullivan, Indiana; Allison (Andy) Campbell of Ocala, Florida; Jennifer Williams of Cleveland, Tennessee and Paige (Justin) Stiner of Ooltewah, Tennessee and 16 great grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren.

Stepchildren, Valerie (Paul) Davis of Atlanta, Georgia and Kevin (Barbara) Mitchell of Cleveland, Tennessee.  Step grandchildren: Madison Mitchell of Cleveland, Tennessee; Meagan (Dylan) Warnock of New York City, New York and Jordan (Ian) Henry of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Brothers and Sisters: Buck (Else) Williams of Benson, Arizona, Patsy (Irwin) Yoak of Barbourville, Kentucky; Ted (Betty) Williams of Irvin, Kentucky; Jack (Jessica) Williams of Waveland, Indiana; Linda (Albert) McGough of Birmingham, Alabama; Brenda (James) Barrett of Paris, Kentucky; Wanda (Rick) Emery of Kingman, Indiana and Donna (Alfred) Church of Avon, Indiana.

 He was a retired Ordained Bishop of the Church of God.  He served the church as evangelist, pastored churches in Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee, member of the Indiana State Youth Board, a member of the Indiana State Council and district overseer.  He planted two churches.  He was also a dorm supervisor of Walker Hall (Medlin) at Lee College (University).

 Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Mark Williams, the Reverend Jerry Ballard and the Reverend Terry Gabbard officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Tony Ballard, Andy Campbell, Josh Eagleson, Jack Williams, Ted Williams and Paul Elza serving as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
