Carol Johnson Comley, 72, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the family residence in Tunnel Hill, Georgia. She was born in Indiana and lived a majority of her life in Farmersville, Ohio, before living 20 plus years in Bradley County and finally moving to Tunnel Hill, Georgia five years ago. She was a member of Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy. She was retired from First Tennessee Bank. She was known for her hospitable manner with people and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Comley was the daughter of the late Nelson and Belva Johnson and also was preceded in death by her four siblings, Frances Johnson, Connie Johnson, Cheryl Johnson, and Steve Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Comley of 55 years as of Thursday, August 31, 2017; four children: Kimberly Eldridge and her husband, Rodney of Taylor Mill, KY, Edward “Chey” Comley, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Germantown, Ohio, Crystal Cochran and her husband, Keith of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, and Matthew Comley and his wife, Rachell of Ringgold, Georgia; 16 grandchildren, Leah, Stephanie, David, Jason, Stephen, Abigail, Molly, Jonathan, Luke, Emma, Kaitlyn, Dara, Drew, Victoria, Ashlyn, and Jeb; 1 great-grandchild, Amelia; several nieces and nephews and extended family also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Wade Patterson, Pastor Ronald Wright, Pastor Rodney Eldridge, and Evangelist David Eldridge officiating. Interment will follow in Flint Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
