Lynn Davis

January 3, 1931 — September 17, 2017

Lynn Davis, 86, a resident of Charleston, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare.  He was a retired editor for the Baptist Sunday School Board and was a writer contributor of the Ohio Baptist Reflector. Lynn was an ordained Southern Baptist Minister.  He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Stubbs Davis and sister, Caroline Cohen.

He is survived by his daughter, Sara Lawson and husband, Grayland; five grandchildren, Josh and Jessica Weiss of Nashville, Kaila and Jeffery Tabor of Birchwood, Alyssa Lawson of Chattanooga, Braden Lawson and Barrett Lawson, both of Dayton; six great-grandchildren, Collin, Carter and Charlotte Weiss, Jason Tabor and Haven and Jaxon Cross; sister, Zenia Spencer.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Ave. Nashville, TN 37203.
