Cecil Lee Bishop

Cecil Lee Bishop, 63, a native and lifelong resident of South East Tennessee passed away at his residence on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. He was a member of Mt. Zion New Covenant Church.  He loved dairy farming; spending time with his family and his two dogs, Rocky and Lucky.

Cecil was preceded in death by his father, Paul Bishop; his two brothers, Bill Bishop and Joel Bishop; his sister, Diane Davis and his niece, Angela Snyder.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Bishop of Georgetown; five brothers and their spouses: Ed (Sally) Bishop of Georgetown, George Bishop of Georgetown, Steve (Elaine) Bishop of Hixson, Allan (Christine) Bishop of Dalton, GA, and Joe (Kaye) Bishop of Georgetown; two sisters and their spouses: Betty (Ed) Wilbanks of Tiftonia, and Nolie (Sonny) Davis of Georgetown; sister-in-law, Carolyn Bishop of Pikeville; one aunt, Betty Shelby of Hixson; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Brother Ronnie Davis officiating.  Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery with Allen Wilson, Paul Bishop, Jr., Isaiah Kennedy, Jason Kennedy, Brandon Wilson, and Allan Bishop, Jr. serving as pallbearers. A White Dove Release Ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and also on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. The family will also receive on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
