Linda Stevenson Cross

February 22, 1948 — April 27, 2018

Linda Stevenson Cross, age 70, of McDonald, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. Born on February 22, 1948 to the late George and Onie Jane Bishop Stevenson, she was a lifelong resident of Bradley County and a member of First Baptist Church of Cleveland. Linda was retired from Dr. Carney’s office after 25 years of service and was a giving person who never met a stranger. She found purpose in service to others.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Johnson; and brothers, Jim Stevenson and Joe Stevenson.

Linda is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 50  years, Donald Cross; daughter, Stacey Montgomery; grandson, Chase Stevenson Montgomery; son-in-law, Steve Montgomery; siblings, Joyce Still, Larry (Jeanne) Stevenson, Patsy Johnson; niece, Jennifer(Rich) Gross; great-niece Keylee Brock; nieces, Alicia(Dean) Lankford, Kathy Swafford, and Shelia Elrod; nephews, Jeff (Kim) Still, Chris Johnson, Richie (Amy)Stevenson, Mitchell Stevenson, and Carl Montgomery: and special friends Danny Sprouce and Marta Ramsey.

 A Celebration of Life and Home going will be held at 1p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Brother Keith Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a White Dove Release Ceremony concluding the services.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the funeral home.
