Jimmy Dean Bailey

September 27, 1937 — June 18, 2018

Jimmy Dean Bailey, 84, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018, at a local healthcare facility.  He was a member of Central Church of Christ and a veteran of the United States Navy.  Jimmy graduated from Lawrence County High School and Middle Tennessee State University.  He retired from the 3M Corporation in 1995 after 37 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Venetta Lou Burditt Bailey: parents, Charles (Charlie) Augusta Bailey and Georgia Vera Cooper Bailey; siblings, William Eugene Bailey, Ruth Bailey Hughes and Joe Charles Bailey.

He is survived by a sister, Wilda “Bill” Bailey Hunt; children, Patricia Bailey Coggin (Danny) of Cleveland, Larry Bailey (Melissa) of Round Rock, TX and Gregory Bailey of Oak Ridge; grandchildren, Ben Bailey (Jenn), Will Bailey (Jenny), Andrew Coggin (Emily), Joe Bailey (Steph) and Katie Coggin; great-grandchildren, Bryson Marlow, Barrett Bailey, Seren Bailey, Austin Bailey, Aiden Bailey, Everly Coggin, Eisley Beth Coen Bailey and one baby Bailey on the way.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Tom Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the funeral home.
