James Dale Wright, 64, a lifelong resident of Cleveland passed away suddenly Friday morning, June 29, 2018 at a family residence. He had worked for Cleveland Utilities for 37 years as a water treatment manager. He had attended the Church of God of Prophecy. He was a gun and history enthusiast. In the early 1980’s, he was a part of a cover band called The Untouchables Band. He was a loving husband and father who adored his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ballard Wright and Emma Wright; sister, Violet Sullivan; two infant sisters, Lucille Wright and Joyce Wright; and two brothers, Glen Wright and wife Doris and Robert Wright and wife Lunata.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Shirley Wright of Cleveland; two children, Jessica Jenkins and husband Colby of Cleveland, and Kendall Wright of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Corbin Jenkins, Isaac Jenkins, Essley Watson, Sawyer Watson, and Hadleigh Watson; four sisters, Lorena Dora Huff and husband Harold of Cambridge, OH, Thelma Pruitt and husband Jack of Olive Branch, MS; Aleta Kuckkahn and husband David of Springfield, TN, June Mooneyham and husband Harold of Cleveland, TN ; brother, Stanley Wright and wife Phyllis of Highland, CA; brother-in-law, Russell Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A private service will be held at a later date.
