Dorothy Ledford Williams

Dorothy Ledford Williams, 92, of Cleveland, passed away on her birthday Wednesday, July 4, 2018 in a healthcare facility surrounded by her children.  She was a long time member of First Baptist Church.  She was a wonderful wife and homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, J.D. Williams; father, Lake Ledford; mother, Myrtle Ledford Gobble; and brother, David Ledford.

She is survived by her four children, Lakeanna Bailey and husband Lee, James Williams and wife Gail, Melinda McIntire and husband Bob, and Kimmy McGaha and husband Jerry, all of Cleveland; six grandchildren, Daryl Jones, Derring Williams, Jennifer Williams, Robby McIntire, Cole McGaha, and Laurel Marie McGaha; several great grandchildren; special friends, Betty Bryant and Ethel Brown; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2018 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Wickes officiating.  Interment will follow at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.  Daryl Jones, Robby McIntire, Cole McGaha, Derring Williams, Mike Ledford, Tyler Jones, Rex Williams, and Al Williams will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends beginning from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
