Evelyn Moore

Evelyn Moore, 74, born March 7, 1944, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in a local healthcare facility.  She attended Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and volunteered at the Food Pantry.  She also volunteered with Bridgemakers for thirteen years and was an avid bowler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edd and Zora Guthrie; brothers, Roy and Ben Guthrie of Cleveland and Paul Guthrie of Surgoinsville, TN.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Moore of Cleveland, step-son, Keith Beck; step-grandson Kyle Beck and two great-grandchildren of Hawkinsville, GA; siblings, Betty Sneed of Cleveland and James Guthrie of Dalton, GA; sisters-in-law, Mary Guthrie of Cleveland and Jean Guthrie of Surgoinsville, TN; several nieces, nephews and very special friends, Phyllis Bowling and Jeri Gentry.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Ramon Torres and the Reverend Chris Rouse officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Ken Guthrie, Tom Guthrie, Ken Kinches, Charlie Rapier, Keith Beck and Kyle Beck serving as pallbearers.  Sonny Hicks, Windom Davis and Ken Goins will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
