Wanda Fay Odom

May 1, 1946 — August 14, 2018

Wanda Fay Clayton Odom, 72, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in a Chattanooga hospice care center.  Wanda was born in Polk County, but was a life-long resident of Bradley County.   She was retired from Magic Chef after 20 years of service.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, antiquing and spending time with her family.  She was of Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mark “Woodrow” Clayton and “Edna” Belle Bates Clayton.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Dewey Odom of Cleveland; daughter, Tammy Rinehart and husband, Ray of Chattanooga; siblings, Mabel Denny and husband, Steve of Cleveland and Irene Shahan and husband, Don of Charleston; mother-in-law, Emma Odom of Etowah; favorite niece, Donna G. Shahan Symonds and husband, Rob of Jekyl Island, GA and life-long friend, Eloise Watters and husband, Chuck of Cleveland; several nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Carl Hobbs officiating.  Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 20, 2018 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.  

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to, Hospice Care Center, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
