Elizabeth Catherine Youngdahl

Elizabeth Catherine Johansen Youngdahl, age 61, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 at her residence.

She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and worshipped with the North Cleveland congregation.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Anton Johansen and Charlotte Langer Johansen of Brainard, NY; and her brother, David Johansen.  Arthur, his son David, and Arthur's sister Ann Van Epps as well as two of her children, Joanne Haight Wagenbaugh and Howard Haight all fell victim to Myotonic Dystrophy, a degenerative hereditary disease with wide ranging negative health implications.  Several of these also battled cancer as did Elizabeth.

She is survived by her husband, David Ira Youngdahl; two brothers, Kenneth Johansen & his wife Gretchen of Osprey, FL, and William Johansen & his wife Paula of Boykins, VA; and her sister-in-law Judi, widow of David Johansen of Cleveland.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial talk will be given at the Cleveland Kingdom Hall, 3067 Spring Place Road, Cleveland, TN  37312, at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Ralph Buckner Boulevard, Cleveland.
