Lillie Mae Carter

Lillie Mae Carter, 90, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at her residence.  She was a lifelong resident of Cleveland and of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Denver Riggs; parents, Mike and May Carter; daughter, Judy Gates; brother, Buck Carter; and sisters, Nann Baldwin, Lucy Whiteside, and Nell Davis.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Woods of Cleveland and Steve Riggs and wife Gail of Cleveland; eight grandchildren, Michael Liner, Mark Liner and wife Barbara, Lisa Pell and husband Ricky, Brandy Branam and husband Josh, Lena Mooneyham and husband Jack, Dionna Vandergriff and husband Shane, Carla Lane and husband Caleb, and Robbie Riggs and wife Lindsay; 13 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Harden officiating.  Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
