Ronald "Bud" L. Cansler

Ronald L. “Bud” Cansler, 77, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 in a local hospital.  He had owned Bud’s Auto Service and worked at Lincoln Mullinax.  He was of the Christian faith.  He loved classic cars, auto racing, and golfing, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Grant Cansler and Flossie Bruce Cansler; one son-in-law, Albert Haire; and one brother, William Grant “Bill” Cansler.He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Peggy Elizabeth Holder Cansler; three children, Jake Cansler and wife Donna of Cleveland, Cindy Mayton and husband Randy of Cleveland, and Melinda Diane Haire of Cleveland; seven grandchildren, April Johnson and husband Lyle, Shane Cansler and wife Erin, Amy Nave and husband Chad, Matthew Haire and wife Christy, Becky Keller and husband Josh, Jeannie Brown and husband Dustin, and Dustin Cansler; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Christine Mayfield of Cleveland, and several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2018 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend B. J. Miller and Reverend David O’Neal officiating.   Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Lyle Johnson, Shane Cansler, Dustin Cansler, Matthew Haire, Joey Mayfield, and Jeremy Mayfield serving as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the funeral home.We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the Cansler family guestbook at www.ralphbuckner.com.
