Dorothy Marie Ridge

Dorothy Marie Wilson Ridge, 82, of Georgetown, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 in a local healthcare facility.  She was a member of Hopewell Church of God.  She enjoyed spending her time writing poems, reading, and attending church.  Fall was her favorite season of the year.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lloyd Ridge; parents, W. C. Wilson and Zella Nealy Wilson.

She is survived by five children, Steve Ridge and wife Cindy of Cincinnati, Ohio, Cheryl Bryant and husband Larry of Georgetown, Michael Ridge Sr. and wife Margaret of Georgetown, David Ridge of Cleveland, and Christy Ratcliff and husband James of Chattanooga; grandchildren Brandon Ridge, Michael Ridge Jr. and wife Emily, Nicholas Ridge and wife Rachel, Meghan Caldwell and husband Robby, Jessica Bryant, Rebecca Bryant, Jae Ratcliff, Chase Ridge, and Koda Ridge ; great-grandchildren Bentley Crowe, Maverick Crowe, Cole Ridge, and Wynter Bryant; sister, Doris Graham of Georgetown; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Brother George Warren.  Interment will follow in Johnston Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at the funeral home.
