J. B. McBrayer, 62, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at a local hospital.
He was retired from Roadway Express after 33 years. He was a member of New Prospect Cumberland Presbytarian Church and was a former elder of Northside Presbytarian Church. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Josephine McBrayer.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Audrea Walker McBrayer; one son and daughter-in-law, jason and Shannon McBrayer; two grandchildren, Jackson and Madeline McBrayer all of Cleveland; two very special "grandboys", Eli and Ian Millen; special family member, Tim Callihan; three sisters, Brenda Ellis and husband Greg of Cleveland, Joyce Blackmon of Turtletown, and Blanche Coleman and husband Steve of Murphy, North Carolina; one brother, Bruce McBrayer of Farner; and two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John Cavender and wife Shelly, and Earl Walker and wife Belinda all of Murphy, North Carolina.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Heidi Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Tasso Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 26, 2013 at the funeral home.
