Jean Irma Yelland Anderson, 87, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019 at a local healthcare facility in Cleveland, Tennessee. She had lived in New Market, Virginia, before moving to Cleveland 13 years ago. She was a homemaker and had also worked as an office manager. She was a member of Bowman Hills Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed entertaining, knitting, sewing, making ceramics and making porcelain dolls. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Malcom T. Yelland and Annie Slaney Yelland.
She is survived by two children, June Donna Anderson Bendall and husband Kenneth of New Market, Virginia, and John Edward Anderson and wife Aleteia of Shenandoah Valley, Virginia; seven grandchildren, April, May, Jason, Jonathan, Alicia, and Arianna Anderson, and June Gooch; six great-grandchildren, Madison, Mason, Meghan, and Michael Gooch, and Lucy and Elsie Anderson; and several cousins.
A celebration of her life will held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Bowman Hills Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Cleveland with Pastor Richie Halversen officiating. Her family will receive friends after the service concludes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Bowman Hills Adventist School, 300 Westview Drive NE, Cleveland, Tennessee 37312 for the pavilion fund in honor of Jean Anderson.
