Mark Reed Phillips, 64, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at his home. He was a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee for most of his life. He retired from Duracell where he worked as a manager for 23 years, he then retired from Cormetech as a manager of ten years. He was a member of First Lutheran Church as a child and as an adult he became a member of First Baptist Cleveland. He was a ham radio operator since a young age and a current member of the Cleveland Amateur Radio Club. He was an avid outdoorsman and gardener who loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy R. Phillips and Patricia A. Green Phillips.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Jennifer Skinner Phillips; daughter, Amanda Phillips Trew and husband Kevin of Cleveland, Tennessee, and daughter, Whitney Phillips Russell and husband David of Abilene, Texas; grandchildren, Tennyson, Annelise, Huxley and Emerson Russell and Addisyn and Ashtyn Trew; brother, Greg G. Phillips; sister, Tracy A. Phillips Caldwell and husband Jeff; and other loving family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Ernest Easley officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church Cleveland, 1275 Stuart Road NE, Cleveland, Tennessee 37312 or to St. Jude Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
